A real irritating sound. Dull. Blunt. Long. It is impossible not to notice it. It’s a dark grey sound. Concrete. It goes on and you lean towards believing it is there forever. Eventually you get over wondering when it will stop. You move on and think of something else. Maybe you just concentrate on what is making the noise and how. Maybe you forget about it. Maybe you think about something entirely unrelated. Eventually you can’t hear the noise but it’s still there. The sound turns into silence. Its only when it really stops you will again hear a dull, blunt, long sound.
